Driving getting expensive

Petrol prices have been hiked once again !!

When I started driving in 2000 the petrol rate was Rs. 27 per litre. And today its Rs. 47 per litre.

Increase of Rs.20 in six years. Now that shouldnt be so disturbing. But it is, given the distance we travel everyday, commuting to and fro from our homes to our workplace and back. Infact even small trips to mall, markets and our neighbourhood restraunts were not an issue.

But one thing I do know for sure is that now the liesurely drive in monsoon is going to pinch too hard on our pockets!!

  1. right !!

I thought only banglore was selling petrol above Rs. 50. I am amazed that even northern region of India is getting it at around the same rate.

This should make me feel blessed for having been born in the NCR??

  2. Argh! I dont know whenever the government feels short of money , why they only think of incresing the prices of fuel. They may strictly implement tax collection and they will get more money than they can imagine.
Coz acc. to a survey , if every indian pay his tax honestly for 2 years , the tax collected will be huge enough to make India a fully developed nation.
