Sahara Samay needs smart news readers

No its not a recruitment advertisement on their behalf. Its something that I really feel they need to work upon.

I just happenned to be watching their news channel this afternoon, and the female news reporter didnt quite use her common sense and said

“This is the view of AIIMS hospital from where Rahul Mahajan will be discharged any moment now. Apollo doctors have cleared his discharge papers and have handed him over to the police”.

Hyundai Getz: For bigger people??

Allrite now according to the their advertisement, people who own and drive Getz move around with their hands held in scooter driving position / kathak basic hand position to ensure space around them !! :-o

Now since I dont find people in delhi moving like that, do i assume people dont drive Getz at all? Or its high time advertising agencies started doing some pilot studies with their advertisement concepts to know how stupid it looks?

Or maybe the car isnt big enough for BIG people :-P

Ahista Ahista Movie

I saw the title track of this movie which stars Soha Ali Khan and Abhay Deol. A soothing number. While Soha Ali Khan looks like a breath of fresh air, with emotions quite similar to Rang De Basanti, its Abhay who carries the no emotional look on his face.

We had Sunny Deol who could act but couldnt dance, then we had Bobby Deol, who could dance but hardly act and now we have Abhay deol, who doesnt seem to be fit for the damn acting business. Tch Tch !!

Jumme Raat : Phir Hera Pheri

Hillarious picturization. Made me reconsider my decision of not watching the sequel of a brilliant movie by priyadarshan.

I can bet that it will be again “baburao” aka paresh rawal who will steal the show.

I am not too sure whats Bipasha’s role. But she was looking like an extra in an “aqua” barbie girl video

Bluffmaster: Borrowed background score

Saw Bluffmaster for the first time. I am not too sure if other people have noticed that in the movie whenever Priyanka Chopra comes on screen, the background score that was played was actually the song “Bitter sweet symphony’ by ‘the Verve’??

I guess expecting originality from Bollywood is expecting way too much. High hopes!!
Originality and Bollywood are poles apart. :-P

Take me to your heart: Shaan & MLTR

Allright, so our very own Shaan Mukherjee has gone ahead and sung a song with the band Micheal Learns To Rock titled ‘Take me to your heart’ which is part of his latest album Tishnagi.

This is the second song that I have heard after the title track Tishnagi. The video is pretty much black and white, while the lead singer of MLTR seemed so much casual and at ease, Shaan is seen trying to do I dont know what. What I dont seem to understand is that why do Indian singers have to imitate their western counterparts when they sing along with them.

How about for a change making an effort to carve one’s own niche and hold on to your own style of singing while presenting the fusion of east and west?

Imagine MLTR singing with an Indian accent

Phir Hera Pheri : Mujhko Yaad Sataye Teri

Imagine Akshay Kumar dancing on an extremely yuck nasal sung slow song just like micheal jackson in one of his videos complete with drums and street look. (I am forgetting the song name). Thats what he is doing in the song ‘Mujhko Yaad sataye Teri’ from the forthcoming sequeal of Hera Pheri.

Earlier we heard copied tunes and songs, now its a take off on a complete video. God bless !!

The Da Vinci Code cleared

Allright, so our government decided to let the movie get released a week after its worldwide premiere with an ‘A’ rating and a disclaimer in the beginning and at the end of the movie. Why twice??? Making sure that people read it?? Whats the need I guess the publicity has very well ensured that we all know what it is.

Its a work of fiction, and I dont get it why people were protesting against its release and appealing for a ban. We Indians simply love to stir a controversy. Keep looking for something new to keep the public and media busy.
