Punjabi couplet from Namastey London

Ishq di mere mitra pehchaan ki, mit jaave jad yaara jid apaan di

Many who have seen Namastey London would easily recollect this punjabi couplet from the movie. Had to hunt for it a lot, and finally suceeded. For those who find punjabi alien talk, it means “What is the sign of love? It is when we give up on our rigidness”.

Beautiful. Simply Beautiful.

Woh mera rasta bhi hai aur wohi manzil
woh mera sagar bhi hai aur wohi saahil…
Yahi hota pyar hai kya?

Rozaana Se from Nishabd

A mesmerising number from the upcoming movie Nishabd, from Ramgopal verma’s factory starring Amitabh bachchan, Jiah Khan and Revathy (a few of the known faces I could catch in the trailor).

Rozaana jiyein, rozaana marein teri yaadon mein hum
teri yaadon mein gum ho gaya namm rozaana
Rozaana jiyein, rozaana marein teri yaadon mein hum
teri yaadon mein hum… rozaana

Ungli teri thaamein huye har lamha chalta hun main
tujhko liye ghar laut-oon ab ghar se nikalta hun main
ek pal ko bhi jaata nahi tere bin kahin
kyon raat din bas tujh mein hi bas tujh mein hi
lipta rehta hun main
rozaana… rozaana…
rozaana… rozaana…

Pyaar sirf tumse…

A lucky ali number that I have modified a bit.

Teri yaad jab aati hai
meri aankh bhar jaati hai
tum jo bichde mil mil ke
khwaab toote hai is dil ke
yahi gham mujhe satayega
phir tu laut ke na aayega
phir bhi tere aane ka intezaar karti hun
pyaar sirf tumse
pyaar sirf tumse pyar karti hun

Maine vaada to nibhaya tha
socha kabhi na sataaya tha
phir bhi jaane anjaane mein kahi
tera dil to na dukhaaya tha
kaisa dastoor hai jaana
sab kuch jaan ke hai sehna
pyaar tujh pe main yeh jaan nisaar karti hun
pyar sirf tumse
pyar sirf tumse pyar karti hun

John Denver’s Annie’s song

I think this is one of the most romantic songs I have ever heard. A soothing number which almost always relaxes me and manages to bring a smile on my face.

I think its a must have for a romantic evening with your loved ones. Its bound to help you in woo-ing your loved one with ishtyle.
Wine, dine, and this song… deadly combination… matlab… katal-e-aam :)

Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone

Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
It’s not warm when she’s away
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
And she always gone too long anytime she goes away

Wonder this time where she’s gone
Wonder if she’s gone to stay
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
And this house just ain’t no home
Anytime she goes away

And I know, I know, I know, I know
I know, I know, I know, I know
I know, I know, I know, I know

No matter what…

Once again I saw Notting Hill. I have stopped counting how many times I have seen this movie. Here is one song that I liked from Boyzone.

No matter what they tell us
No matter what they do
No matter what they teach us
What we believe is true

No matter what they call us
However they attack
No matter where they take us
We’ll find our own way back

I can’t deny what I believe
I can’t be what I’m not
I know our love forever
I know, no matter what

Your guy keeping karvachauth

What if your guy keeps karvachauth along with you? How does it feel?

I remember my daadi telling me once, that when she was unwell and couldnt keep the fast because of her health reasons, my grandfather kept the karvachauth fast for her. How romantic was that !!

And what if you have someone in todays era, who does the same just to keep you company?

I would say… feel blessed :)

Pieces of me

On a Monday I am waiting
Tuesday, I am fading
And by Wednesday I can’t sleep
Then the phone rings, I hear you
And the darkness is a clear view
Cause you’ve come to rescue me

Fall, with you I fall so fast
I can hardly catch my breath
I hope it last

Ohhhh
It seems like I can finally
Rest my head on something real
I like the way that feels
