Laaga chunari mein daag title track is on repeat mode since I returned from the movie. I took a liking for this very different yet strong song sung by Shubha Mudgal with Mita Vashisht reciting pure hindi verses in the background that very moment. Awesome I must say, if you havent had the chance to hear it. This is one song that I havent heard on radio and I dunno why they prefer to play “hum to aise hai bhaiya” or ” kachchi kaliyan mat todo” over this title track which is a soul stirring number.

I dont know what is it about this song but I quite like it. I guess it is the subtle mix of helplessness and the strong streak of a willingness to face it all.

And Vinnie is quite right. All my past posts for a while are a sign of my weakness. And if thats the case, I make the beginning today to get out of that mode.

Yet another step…

I was so upset the last time I wrote a proper post that I had actually taken a sort of vow to not write for a while as I felt so disgusted by the whole issue.

Anyways…the point being, whenever I am down and out, I do well. How ironic! I perform best under pressure, I do double the work when I am angry and I am open to new things when I shut myself. And ever since I got this new PC there have been great learnings instore for me every week. Things that I so wanted to do but was scared and even skeptical at times to take it up.

So for another technical update, I have started using torrents !
Torrents are, must say, brilliant stuff. Seen seven movies in ten days. One in hall, 6 on computer after downloading them through torrents. And another one is on its way of downloading.

“Memento” is the one which is downloading right now.

I have also started helping people on Yahoo answers. And I already have 24 of my answers being chosen as Best answers in less than a weeks time !

Updates on personal front: Amazed at the strict financial control I am able to exercise on myself, making truce with myself, trying to forgive n seek forgiveness, cant believe I am gymming regularly and still in search for ways to keep my boredom at bay.

Titanic Two the surface: Jack’s back

If the trailer of the sequel of Titanic is anything to go by, it will surely be a rage but not as great as the original. Everyone knows Jack (Leonardo Dicaprio) died in the original. But hold your breath he returns in the sequel. . ( a friend just said.. kya bakwaas hai.. koi hindi movie thode hi hai )

Before you start wondering if its a ghostly story, let me clear the air by saying that its the most foolish concept that Hollywood could ever come up with to base a movie on.

Anyways, Jack returns frozen in an ice slab, and voila there he is all alive and kicking! But poor rose is dead now. So we dont get to see Kate winslet in the movie.

So its like a person who returns after years only to a world that he isnt aware of… i.e. his future… where nothing that he knew earlier exists anymore. Add to that some scientists who want to keep him captivated for scientific observations n tests n blah blah blah. But our hero runs away to the New world. So we have nostalgia, we have action and emotional melodrama. We also get to see John Cusack (slimmer n sexier) and Winona Ryder in the movie.

Arent they aping bollywood for concepts now? Cos it surely seems like that to me!
