Rishtey

Rishtey to nahi rishton ki parchaiyan mile
yeh kaisi bheed hai bas yahan tanhaiyan mile

ek chhat ke tale ajnabi ho jaate hai rishtey
bistar pe chadaron se chup so jaate hai
dhunde se bhi in mein nahi garmaiyan mile
yeh kaisi bheed hai bas yahan tanhaiyan mile

Just how?

Just how do you justify your past to the present?

I so wish I get an answer to this and it doesnt remain like many of the unanswered questions in my mind.

A good old poem

Around the corner I have a friend,
In this great city that has no end,
Yet the days go by and weeks rush on,
And before I know it, a year is gone.
And I never see my old friends face,
For life is a swift and terrible race,
He knows
I like him just as well,
As in the days when I rang his bell.
And he rang mine but we were younger then,
And now we are busy, tired men.

Tired of playing a foolish game,
Tired of trying to make a name.
“Tomorrow” I say! “I will call on him
Just to show that I’m thinking of him.”
But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes,
And distance between us grows and grows.
Around the corner, yet miles away,
“Here’s a telegram sir,” “he died today.”
And that’s what we get and deserve in the end.
Around the corner, a vanished friend.
Remember to always say what you mean.
If you love someone, tell them clean.

Have a fresh start…

Words have the power to both destroy and heal. I have seen its use for the former. The latter is what I so wish I am able to.

When these words are both kind and true, they have the capability to change our world.

And I hope they do. Have a nice day and life !

Its like chosing the best amongst the worse

Following the frequent no signal problem with Dishtv, I was seriously contemplating taking up Tatasky. But the review I just read here only depicts the sad state of DTH options available to the consumers. And I thought only Dishtv was as bad.

Cant I just have the best of both the worlds?

Exhaustive channels (dishtv), efficient customer care (tatasky), cheaper installation and ownership of equipment (of dishtv) and excellent picture quality (of tatasky)

Strange are the ways of friendship

Imagine a scenario, you have a friend A. Through your friend A you are introduced to B, C and D. And after a while A vanishes from the scene but your friendship with B, C and D persists. You find it odd, but it seems ok.

Its strange that today I have a few new friends who count me as their friend despite the fact the person who introduced us is no longer in the picture. They have involved me in work, conversations and support system.

I am glad for the way these people have turned out to be and thankful to A for introducing us.

Bheja fry

I saw this movie on the recommendation of a friend and I am glad I did. I dont know how and why I missed this movie when it was released in theatre. Maybe cos of its star cast or maybe cos of its poor publicity. Its different is how I would describe it but surely loved Vinay Pathak’s timing. Sarika I believe made a comeback with this movie and still manages to look pretty. And Milind soman aaaaaaaaah…

The best part?

My dad laughed while watching it. :)

Are you fair enough?

Empathy. A word that I found so difficult to learn in school as I would so confuse it with sympathy when I was in class 6. I do remember its spelling and meaning now, but its implementation is still far off.

How often do we put ourselves in others shoes and try and imagine what they must be going through? Its sad that we rarely do that.

Its sad realisation that I have come to terms with lately, how I so lack at this. I question people about their fairness in dealing with me, but what about me trying to understand their stand?

Very easy to question others, and how rarely do we question ourselves. I think I should stay away from “Thats not fair”, since I havent been one myself.

How I write a poem?

I am not a born poet nor I claim to be one. But yes, every now and then at a spur of a moment I pen down my thoughts in a few verses. And bingo, we have what I like to call a poem.

I know many people usually take hours or days to write one, to perfect it, to complete it, while for me it just happens there and then. Maximum an hour and I have it ready. Maybe cos its pretty clear of what I want or what I have on my mind for it. And I just know thats it. And I dont have much to add, its complete.

Recently, I have been working on a poem for a few days now, which is quite new to me. And its strange also for the reason that everyday I look at it differently and have something else to add. Maybe cos I want to fit in everything that I have on mind, or maybe its still not a complete picture that I am preparing with words. I am always certain of what I am looking at, but this time, it doesnt seem the case.

Whatever the case maybe, its a pleasure to read it and smile for I still dont know whats more to come. I am in no hurry as I have all the time in the world and I would rather enjoy the ride than the destination.
