Heerey moti main na chahoon
main to chahoon sangam tera
main to teri saiyyan tu hai mera
Saiyyan Saiyyan

Tu jo choo le pyar se araam se marr jaun
aaja chanda bahoon mein, tujh mein hi gum ho jaun
tere naam mein kho jaun
Saiyyan Saiyyan

Mere dil khushi se jhoomein gaayein raat din
pal pal mujhe dubayein raatein jag kar
tujhe jeet jeet haroon, yeh pran pran vaaru
haye aise main nihaarun, teri aarti utaaron
tere naam se jude hai saare naate
Saiyyan saiyyan

Yet another one

Thursday, May 31st, 2007

I have been studying continuously (and appearing for exams) for the past 22 years continuously.

Ever since I got out of school, I have hardly studied before appearing for the exam. Be it the CETs or the final examinations. I just didnt study well. Just a day or two of studying. Infact for more than 2 courses I just opened the books a day before the exam (I am not boasting about it, cos I aint proud of it). And each time the results appeared, I breathed a sigh of relief for having cleared it, and would think how much better it would have been had i studied. The typical thought of:

Agar bina padhe itne marks aa gaye agar padh leti to kitne achhe aate marks

And then I would almost quietly promise myself that it wont be repeated since now I know what its like. But yet again, the exam times come, I dont open the books throughout the year, and then start studying 12 hours before the exam.

And this coming from a person who is doing specialisation in the field of Education…. Not done !!

Dish TV quality sucks

Thursday, May 24th, 2007

We took up Dish Tv connection from december itself following the CAS regulation in south Delhi. And it has been a pain in all the wrong places since the very first month of installation.

I am bugged right now because for the past two days it simply stops working at 9.50pm when my current favourite serial ‘Virrudh’ is at its peak and climax. It is so damn irritating that you just cant imagine.

I havent yet started complaining about the fact that despite we having opted for the “All channel” subscription, all the channels never work properly. The signal strength and quality is weak and they show up as and when they wish to and most hours of teh day it simply shows some error. And yes when it rains, it simply shuts down. No channel is available on display.

The trouble started from January itself when they started asking for next month’s rental despite the fact that they were advertising hugely across all over Delhi that if you take up Dish tv now then you dont need to pay anything for next 6 months. For over 20 days in Jan-Feb it was shut down from their end on account of non-payment. Still nothing. They started it and have been promising to extend our period to 6 months 20 days. Lets see how far do they stick to that.

And to top it all their customer care is PATHETIC. They do anything but care for customers. Despite numerous complaints about it all, till date we havent seen a response from their side. Not a single one !!

I think it was the worst choice made and I have been told Tata Sky is far far better.

Why do we dream while sleeping?

Thursday, May 24th, 2007

Arent we supposed to be resting while sleeping? Then why do we dream? Why is it that we remember a few of them and forget most of them?

What do they mean? What is behind these dreams? Some unfulfilled aspirations? ( I am not too sure how many people would actually want to have a reality of answering a question paper in just the last 30 mins)

It seems most of the times that we are living these dreams. The fear, nervousness, even physical responses at times reflect it being there as a reality to us. havent you experienced getting up from a dream all drenched in sweat (not when there is no electricity, duh!!), or speaking a word and getting up?

Does it even occur to you that there might be another world you are living in? When you sleep here, you go there. And when you sleep there, You are here!

Freaky, isnt it? Think about it.

Bol na halke halke: A disappointment

Thursday, May 24th, 2007

I was reading the music review of Jhoom Barabar Jhoom and came to know that the album boasts of a Rahat Fateh Ali khan song, one of my favourite singers. The review was full of praise for the songs of the album which has the music of the magic trio - Shanker, Ehsan, Loy and lyrics of none other than Gulzar.

Me being an ardent fan of “Rahat Ali Khan” type of songs, didnt take a while to download the same to hear it myself. Mahalaxmi Iyer has given him company in the duet which has a mixed feel of classical yet the typical Yashraj music.

The song started with the matka beats, the beat was catchy, lyrics mesmerising and the pace perfect initially and I was really looking forward to it. But when Rahat starts singing, you actually feel its quite abrupt. As if the song you are listening to has to have a little more before he starts singing. As if its too soon for him to start the song and once mahalaxmi joins in, the beats catch up and gain pace.

In the review, this song was compared to the magical feel of Mitwa from Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, yet another of Rahat’s song. But Mitwa stands class apart as compared to this number.

This song seems fast, not that Mitwa wasnt, but in this song it seems as though the lyrics are trying to catch up to keep company the beats and hence been sung at a fast pace.

Ticket to Hollywood: Jhoom Barabar Jhoom

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

I saw the trailers of this upcoming movie from the Yashraj banners starring Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Preity Zinta, Bobby deol and Lara Dutta.

Today while I was watching the song, I realised that the place (location) seemed so familiar. And bingo I was right. This song has been shot right in front of ‘The Louvre’ museum in Paris.

Just my bit of boasting about it :D

The louvre in Paris

Me… right there… yes right there where abhishek is dancing in the video :-P

Fuck me baby !!

Sunday, May 13th, 2007

I am hot…so fuck me baby !!

What is wrong with our youngsters today?? I had a glimse of some of the most atrocious T-shirt scribbles today and this was amongst one of them.

Another one that caught my attention was

My girlfriend asked me to become more affectionate… so now I have 2 girlfriends!

A master piece calls for great labour. By those standards I am one… er.. ask my mom!!

Going at this rate, I dont know what to expect of my kids. That is when they arrive and go and shop for themselves :-P

The best of Koffee with Karan

Sunday, May 13th, 2007

Tonight was one of the best of Kofee with Karan episodes. The guest for the evening were Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Rajeev kappor along with Neetu Kapoor and Reema Kapoor Jain.

Oh was it fun !

I dont think I have ever seen a Kofee with Karan episode so natural and so filled with fun. For the first time I saw people chatting without any accent, without any prim and proper words or the posture for the matter. They revealed each others secrets and made fun of eachother and yet enjoyed each and every bit of it. The oozed class and oomphed love.

Was definately worth watching!!

Imagine you walked into a small hut by the river in the jungle.
You pushed open the door, in front of you were 7 small beds to the right of the hut, and another 7 small chairs surrounding a small round table.

In the middle of the table was a round food tray with 5 kinds of fruit in it. There are:
