Sister Talk

Friday, April 27th, 2007

My mom’s sister and her daughter have come over to stay for a few days. I am amazed to see the length and duration of chats my mom and her sister hold. They just go on and on and on. They just wont stop. Be it in kitchen, in front of TV, while lying on bed… it simply doesnt stop. So much so, that whenever I enter the house, I find them talking. What do they really talk so much about? You like me must be asking yourself.

Many attempts at eavesdropping either got me into deep slumber or bored me enough that it forced me to simply walk out of the room. They talk about recipes, cooking, schedule of their family, clothes, shopping and what not. Even the habits or nuisance of their housemaids!!

Google Adsense: Make money while blogging?

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

Ever since I started blogging, I wasnt ever in the favour of putting advertisements in my blog. But with the amount of traffic coming in, a discussion with Robins one day just led to this idea of “trying this too”.

I wasnt expecting anything fancy as its alien talk to me and my site isnt that hep and happening either (by tech standards). But I am quite happy to learn the results. Within a span of about 10-15 days I have recovered the cost of my domain name :)
Not bad at all!!

I would seriously recommend

for making money while blogging.

Open the door…

Sunday, April 22nd, 2007

Open the door, dear.
I must get in your heart!
You’re making it hard to be true

So please, come open the door, dear
And then, perhaps, you’ll find
you’ve had me on your mind.

No matter how you tried to avoid me,
you can’t get away so easy
If you will not come to me I’ll come to you

There is nothing worse than being ordinary

Even an ordinary plastic bag blowing in the breeze has the ability to be beautiful - it only depends on how it is viewed. All the people in this world are in some way beautiful, even if they are unaware of it.

Yeh zindagi hai meri

Sunday, April 22nd, 2007

Tamasha ban kar reh gayi hai
reh-guzar yeh meri
na jaane kis talaash mein
yeh zindagi hai meri

sajji thi mehfil kal yaaron ki
khushiyon ki lai thi saugat
aaj na koi dost na parchai hai
soone palon se bhari
yeh zindagi hai meri

sannate ki aahat pe
dil kuch ghabraaya tha
jab din thak kar chupke se
dhalne ko aaya tha
roshan kai chirag par
yaadon ke andheron mein simat-ti
yeh zindagi hai meri

What lies beneath

I’ve looked at life from both sides now
From win and lose and still somehow
It’s life’s illusions I recall
I really don’t know life at all…

Seasons and sleep

Saturday, April 21st, 2007

I hate summers. I hate getting up at 5 or 6 on my own due to the season. Its 7 and I am awake since 2 hours :(

I hate winters. Cos I hate getting out of the quilt at 8 for getting ready for work.

And I simply loveeeee monsoon. I love to get up early watch the rain fall for an hour and then get ready to drive through the rain.

Its awesome !

He is a call away for me.

He just knows what makes me look good

He keeps me waiting

He keeps his word most of the time

He surprises me with his ideas

His arrival makes my face lit up

You are fortunate, if your mom is ‘Mean’

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

The title of the article isnt quite what you would send to your parents in their anniversary card. But my sister just did that!!

Now you may pick up your jaws off the floor and continue to read why it was sent.

Someday when my children are old enough to understand the logic that motivates a parent, I will tell them, as my Mean Mom told me:

I loved you enough… to ask you where you were going, with whom, and what time you would be home.

I loved you enough to be silent and let you discover that your new best friend was a creep.

I loved you enough to stand over you for two hours while you cleaned your room, a job that should have taken me just 15 minutes.
