Lesson Learnt

Oh-so-often we indulge in cribbing sessions about people not doing the right thing. While we never even once stop and reconsider our blames. Its a shame we hardly take the pain to look at the other person’s perspective.

So people, think before you speak, infact you should be even think before you write. Freedom of expression shouldnt be exploited to the hilt to hurt people knowingly or unknowingly.

Shabe Firaq: Chupchup ke

The new flick starring Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, Paresh Rawal, Shakti Kapoor and I dont know who all. I had first seen some song where kareena in a eye-pinching fuschia lehnga was dancing with neha Dhupia. Everytime it came on the screen, I was forced to switch channels.

Today I saw Shabe Firaq featuring Shahid and Kareena in an aqua set up. Seemed so silly. Fake bubbles all around and some pathetic dance moves where shahid’s dancing talent is seen gone completely wasted. Kareena’s gelled look doesnt suit her well.

Driven by Money

I am amazed how can people be so intoxicated by their drive to earn more money that they stat neglecting their personal lives. Everything else can wait but not their business call. Contract shouldnt be lost at any cost, while a sour relationship can wait to be healed. Arent the stakes too high?

Is earning money so damn important that you can risk your relationships in your blind journey towards making more money? Does one ever realise that no matter how much money you make, but if you cant enjoy it with the people you love, its all meaningless??

Exploiting the weak links

Trust us Indians to be hypocrites to the core. We will be the first ones to crib about the weak links of our education and then be the first one to exploit them aswell.

And there is no denying that I am guilty of the same.

Its a known fact that our Evaluation system, or so to speak the examination system is the weakest link of our education system. Its in no way the judge of students performance but only quantification of his achievement.

A little bit late

Why does it happen that whatever we want, we do get it, but a little bit late? Things turn out exactly the way we wanted them to, people start behaving exactly the way we expected them to, our life leads us in the direction we wanted it to take, to the paths we wanted to tread, but all a little bit late.

When we want something really bad, it never happens or never works out. And just when time runs out on us and situations change, god gifts us all that we wanted earlier. Makes us realise the irony of life.

I support the Reservation issue

Yes you read the title right. I didnt miss the “dont” in it. I know the reservation issue has met criticism from all spheres and at all grounds in our country. While it has led to a serious debate of detrioration of quality of education that so will prevail, its the quality of product of educational institutions, where this reservation shall be applied, that has been questioned.

But I think I should support it, infact all of us should support it provided Continue reading

Beautiful Thought

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn’t supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it’s harder every time. You’ll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You’ll fight with your best friend. You’ll blame a new love for things an old one did. You’ll cry because time is passing too fast, and you’ll eventually lose someone you love.

So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you’ve never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you’ll never get back.

I dont quite get it !!

I dont know what goes on in life and whats wrong with people. I dont quite get it. People treat others nicely when they are in a good mood and treat them like shit when they are not. Or atleast thats what it seems on the face of it. There might be several reasons behind such a behaviour, but how often is that conveyed to the other party? Is the goodness taken for granted?

Finally the biggest hurdle of my M.Ed is over and done with. I have conquered the realm of unknown (thats philosophy you dodo!!) :-P

Everything else should be cakewalk, except for dissertation, my final research thesis. I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that my close associates keep bugging me to study and get over with the rest of the exams ASAP.
