Background music for a meal

I have noticed a wierd thing which I m sure many of you can easily relate to. Just when you are enjoying your drink over a leisurely meal with someone, the restraunt people decide to play some romantic or hiphop number in your background, which usually is one of the hits of the time when you were in your adolescent years at school.

aaah… How annoying is that??…. or rather amusing !!

Even worse is when one of the people on the table decide to do a Karaoke jig at the spur of the moment

Thumbs up to Beer :)

‘Beer, if drank in moderation, softens the temper, cheers the spirit, and promotes health.’Thomas Jefferson

Well I cant seem to understand how people can drink beer when it tastes so yuck. But if you are an avid drinker of beer, and a staunch believer of its positive effects in your life, then this article will surely make you happy and let you enjoy your drink without any guilt.

I really liked the point 4 in the ‘Did you know?’ section. I think all alcohols contribute to that. Dont they?

Rang De Basanti

The more I watch this movie, the more i fall for the character of Karan Singhania. Just love the way its been potrayed by that chap (cant recall the name!!). Maybe cos I got a chance to meet a Karan singhania in my own life, smoking with an attitude and his heart filled with concern for others, deeds based on ethics, principles and pride.

Just love him. :)

Libaas: Sili hawa choo gayi…

This song i m sure not many would have heard of. It is from the movie “LIBAAS” which never got released. It starred Raj Babbar, Shabana Azmi and Naseeruddin Shah. Its sung by Lata mangeshkar, lyrics by gulzar and music by R.D. Burman.

Sili hawa choo gayi, sila badan chhil gaya
Sili hawa choo gayi, sila badan chhil gaya
Neeli nadi ke pare, geela sa chaand khil gaya
Sili hawa choo gayi, sila badan chhil gaya…

Tumse mili jo zindagi, humne abhi boyi nahin
Tere siva koi na tha, tere siva koi nahin
Sili hawa choo gayi, sila badan chhil gaya…

Jaane kahan kaise shehar leke chala yeh dil mujhe
Tere bagair din na jala, tere bagair shab na bujhe
Sili hawa choo gayi, sila badan chhil gaya

Jitne bhi tay karte gaye, badhte gaye yeh faasle
Meelon se din chod aaye, saalon se raat leke chale
Sili hawa choo gayi, sila badan chhil gaya
Neeli nadi ke pare, geela sa chaand khil gaya
La la la la la la la, la la la la la la la

Indian Loyalty !!

Definately worth a read. It seems that an article was written to a well-founded magazine, by an English woman who requested a response from Indian men. I’m so glad she got what she asked for (and more)!!!

This letter was written in response to an article:

Dear Editor:

I’m sorry but I would like to challenge some of your Indian male readers. I am a White female who is engaged to an Indian male, good-looking, educated and loving. I just don’t understand a lot of Indian female’s attitudes about our relationship.

Exactly when?

Many times we just cant seem to find and decide an end for something.

Exactly when do you stop trying to make things work? When is the right time to just back off and let things be? When do you give up and give in to the situation? When do you decide that you cant take it anymore? How much is too much?

Exactly when do you know that the chapter is closed, story is over and you need to move on?

WHEN….???

P.S. I guess I need to add another category in the list: “Persistent Questioning”

What if….??

What if one day you realise you have had enough?

That there is nothing more that you want from this life?

That you have lived your life to the fullest?

No dreams left unfulfilled? or many left and you cant do much about it?

That you have no goal left in your life? The existing seem meaningless? Nothing left for you to aspire for?

And You realise that you have been faking it all and this just isnt you?

What if Tommorow never comes, are you ready to die? No task left unfinished? No apologies remaining, No I Love you left unspoken, No hugs pending, No jokes left unlaughed at ?

Do You have No regrets for the life lived? ….Really??

Something about us…

It might not be the right time
I might not be the right one
But there’s something about us I want to say
Cause there’s something between us anyway

I might not be the right one
It might not be the right time
But there’s something about us I’ve got to do
Some kind of secret I will share with you

I need you more than anything in my life
I want you more than anything in my life
I’ll miss you more than anyone in my life
I love you more than anyone in my life
